The tiny settlement with shacks and ponds between the two forks af the river. If the rare npc Lurp is there you can see his treasure chest glittering atop his mouldy hill. Then I hit North and check the islet where dead picnicers lay rest. If there is rare Spider Treewalker there I also loot her chest there. I usually start there then I grab the Spider crest. Southwestern of the map North of Spider infested valley there is rare npc Keen Beak. (* Gathering the 3 crests is the only way to get the Fiendish Altar/Grublub rare it's a minor detour in the route, but guarantees that one will spawn.) Then just go downhill to the farm, then left to the altar, and then done/recall. Follow the top of that hill around west and then NW - when you see a tree like a great multiple cross, head straight for it and past it - that will get you to the Hermit's. run West across the river, then SW to some stone "stairs" that lead up the hill south of the first quests there. From the NE end of that, you have to hoof it (because if you "recall", you drop your crests!*). Without DD, do the red route (to gather crests*). This previous thread has a map that shows the complete route, but assumes Dimension Door ability (which does speed things up a LOT). Which you will hit if you want more than 15 tokens (for more than 1 horse, for whatever reasons).

THE KEEP ON THE BORDERLANDS DDO FULL
Good Luck and Happy Farming (and even Happier Riding!)Įxit out of the main gate.I found a full "tour" of the Borderlands more fun, and def avoided ransack. I then switched to an Alt, farmed the last 5 Horse Feathers, and got my Horse! I was able to get 5 Horse Feathers from each chest before it ransacked. A good run, with both Rares occurring, usually takes 2-4 minutes. Recall back to the Keep on the Borderlands, reset, and continue. Talk with him, then kill the goblins and Commander Armuz when they appear. Up the top of the hill, to the far right of the Windmill, can be another Rare, The Hermits Hut - a Beekeeper. The Rare does not always occur and Horse Feathers (Quaal Feather Tokens) do not always drop, but they are frequently enough.Ĭontinue in the same direction, and you will see a Windmill. On the closest edge to your position, a Rare can occure - the Scarecrow, Old Man Crag. Immediately turn left, go up the hill, go down the hill, then continue to a farm on your left. They can be earned by an Alt (or even a Mule - this is a level 1 explorer area) and passed to the Toon you wish to redeem a Horse.Įxit out of the main gate. While Horse Mounts are BTC, the Horse Feathers are BTA. Once a chest is Ransack, Feathers stop dropping (and named items stop dropping too.)Ģ. Horse Feathers (Quaal Feather Tokens) only drop in Chests from Rares, not from quests.
